English: English is an official language or de facto official language in the UK, the USA, Australia, New Zealand , Canada, Ireland, India, the Philippines, South Africa and a number of countries in Asia and Africa. It is frequently used as a lingua franca in international settings, and is one of the official languages of the United Nations.
